Bryan Johnson


Bryan Johnson, best known as “Steve-Dave” and "Beard Guy" by his fans, has appeared in a number of his long-time friend Kevin Smith’s films including Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and Jay and Silent Bob's Groovy Cartoon Movie. In 2000, Johnson wrote, directed and starred in Vulgar which premiered at the Toronto Film Festival and was based on a cartoon clown which was the original logo of Kevin Smith's production company, View Askew, and was featured in the intro of his first film, Clerks. Bryan has also penned comic books including Cryptozoic Man #1, which debuts October 2013, Karney and War of the Undead, all illustrated by Walt Flanagan. Currently, Johnson is the host of the podcast, “Tell ‘Em Steve-Dave!” along with Flanagan and Brian Quinn. In 2010 the show won two Podcast Awards: People's Choice and Best Comedy. It was also named a Best of 2010 audio podcast by iTunes and in 2012 won the "Stitcher - 2012 Best Entertainment and Pop Culture Podcast." Although he is not officially an employee at The Stash, most days, Johnson can be found holding court on a stool behind the front counter.
