
Before playing the lead character in AMC’s Mad Men, John Hamm spent plenty of time on television. Most recently, he appeared in "The Unit" and the ABC series "What About Brian." He was a series regular on The Division for three seasons and has also appeared on such shows as CSI: Miami, Point Pleasant, NUMB3RS and Gilmore Girls.
Hamm received a scholarship to study acting at the University of Missouri in Columbia and soon moved to Los Angeles to pursue his career. Film credits include roles in Kissing Jessica Stein, We Were Soldiers, Space Cowboys, and Ira and Abby. Off Broadway and regional theater credits include: "A Midsummer Night's Dream", "Lipschtick" (which would later become the film Kissing Jessica Stein) and "The Mousetrap."
He lives in Los Angeles with his girlfriend and his dog.
