
Betsy Brandt portrays Marie, the sister-in-law of high school chemistry teacher Walter White, in AMC's new original series Breaking Bad.
On television, Brandt starred with Blythe Danner in the Hallmark movie Back When We Were Grownups and appeared in guest-starring roles in many popular TV series: Boston Legal, CSI, NCIS, ER and JAG. She was a recurring guest star in the CBS show Without a Trace.
Brandt has extensive theatre credits which include Ridiculous Fraud, a new work by the playwright Beth Henley at the South Coast Repertory; Much Ado About Nothing for the Arizona Theatre Company; Control + Alt + Delete for the San Jose Repertory; and Truth and Beauty for South Coast Repertory.
Her film credits include Shelf Life, Memphis Bound... and Gagged and Confidence.
Brandt studied theatre with the Moscow Art School at Harvard and the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. In addition, she earned her BFA in Acting at Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
A native of Bay City, Michigan, Brandt is based in Los Angeles.
