Nick Stevens is a comedian/actor/writer kind of guy from Braintree, MA, a "we're known for our big shopping mall" kind of suburb just south of Boston. A graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, where he majored in Film and TV Production (MOVIE NERD ALERT!), Nick has been writing and performing sketch, standup and character comedy in New York for over ten years. The variety show he co-hosted and co-produced, The Shark Show, ran for six years, a spot where Nick has cultivated many of his bits, smartass-ery and relationships in the comedy community (the show's recently been relaunched as The Shark at Work Show in a monthly showcase format). Nick performs at comedy show regularly around town and does college shows in New England as his movie and Boston sports-obsessed "Fitzy" character.
The first opportunity that gave people the chance to give Nick that dubious "Do I know you?" look on the subway was his being a contestant on the first season of Dream Job on ESPN. Since then, Nick has taken his love of movies, comedy and sports and worked frequently on radio in New York, as the "Professional Sports Guy" and co-host of The Booker Show on 92.3 K-Rock/FreeFM. In 2008 he co-hosted The Flex Position, a popular weekly fantasy football show, on ESPN Radio NY. He runs the website, Townienews.com, home to the Fitzy character, which landed him the chance to cover the 2007 season of Monday Night Football for ESPN.com, writing and performing in four new on-site videos per week (check mondaynightmania.com for the season's videos). Nick currently writes and hosts The Burly Sports Show for Heavy.com (and syndicated by cbssports.com), a twice-weekly The Daily Show meets The Soup rundown in sports. Nick continues to appear regularly on VH1's All Access TV shows, CNN HN's Not Just Another Cable News Show, and has done on-air comedic commentary for the Food Network, the Travel Channel, HGTV and several other basic cable channels you watch when you're on the treadmill at the gym.
Nick is married, lives in Brooklyn, NY with his very understanding and lovely wife, hasn't figured out what to do with all their wedding gifts yet, and always feels awkward writing in the third person.
